Cynthia Olsen, Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), CCC-A
Cynthia Olsen, Au.D., CCC-A is a certified clinical audiologist with over 30 years of experience practicing in Idaho, Nevada and Utah. She is the owner of Audiology and Hearing Aid Center and specializes in hearing disorders and audiology. She is board certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Cindy received her Master's degree in audiology from Brigham Young University in 1983 and received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2008. She has worked in hospitals, physician offices, and in private practice.
Cindy was influenced by her grandmother who was an RN and enjoyed caring for people. She enjoys making a difference in people’s lives and seeing how improved communication draws people and families closer together and found that audiology was a great mix of science and caring for people. Cindy is foremost a clinician, but also a speaker, consultant, and community volunteer. She has participated in numerous Rotarian missions to Mexico and donated her time with the Starkey Hearing Foundation Mission to Honduras.
Family is important to Cindy. She has 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She loves to travel and learn about history and culture. She and her husband enjoy the outdoors, hiking, shooting, and camping. With her husband's coaching she is improving her pistol and rifle skills. She and her husband use SoundGear custom electronic hearing protection whenever they go shooting.
